Mud Room Progress

Finally, some smooth walls!

No more huge fan in the ceiling- with a coat of paint you'll not be able to tell it was there.

View into the pantry.  No more cat pee odor or crumbling plaster.  Hooray!  It will get a door once painting is complete.

Again, smooth walls!  View into the Office.

No more hole for the fan dial.

The view from the driveway door.

Thanks, Chris!

Basement Stairs

Hey strangers!  Life is busy and awesome and happy.

Many thanks to my dad for rebuilding these stairs.  They just need a railing and paint and they are d-o-n-e!

Powder Room Pink

Trust me, it's much less princessy in person without my bad point and shoot flash.  It's yummy like a popsicle. Totally perfect.  Thankfully my mom is an amazing finish painter and she is doing much of the painting at this point.  Next is the Office!  The Office, Mudroom and Powder Room will be complete first.  I also purchased two light fixtures for the Office today.  Hooray for progress!

Kitchen Sink Window

It's here, but waiting for the grids to be installed.  This should have been done at the factory but wasn't, so Contractor Chris is not installing the window until we find out what the story is.  Such is home improvement!

Merry, Merry Christmas

Wishing you and yours a healthy and joyous holiday.  I'm surrounded by twin nieces, fun kitchen gadget presents, and lots and lots of my mom's butter cookies.

Here's to a New Year in my new home.  2012 is going to be good!

Furniture Friday

I'm done designating rooms for my furniture because I'm already changing my mind!  So much furniture, so little space.  Just kidding!  1,200 square feet is more than enough...if only I didn't love furniture so much.  But oh how I do!
I found this beauty in college at an Ohio antique store with my mom on a fall break.  It's water-stained and faded now but I have great plans for some fun fabric and contrast buttons and piping.  It's so feminine and 40s!
